We are asked the question of whether there is any moral to the story " Iswaran the storyteller." The moral of the story " Iswaran the storyteller" is as follows:

  • H.H Munro wrote " Iswaran the Storyteller."
  • The entire story revolves around a servant called Iswaran and his master Mahendra.
  • Ishwaran is a person who used to tell stories in such a way that he used to bring the stories alive with his vivid imagination.
  • Mahendra was a very simple man who used to believe in the stories told by Ishwaran.
  • There are two morals can we can learn from this story.
  • When Ishwaran learned that Mahendra was taking everything seriously he should have explained to him that they were just stories. So the moral is do not take advantage of one's simple character.
  • The second moral we can learn is that there is nothing like a ghost and we should not believe in superstitions if not we will get fooled like the way Ishwaran fooled Mahendra.
