To form question tags ..first you need to know what is question tag ? Question tags are an important part of everyday communication and perform many different functions. For example, they can be used to get a conversation started or keep it moving; they can soften an order to do something or they can be a more polite way to request information.
Apart from the difficulty of knowing when to use question tags appropriately, the non-native speaker has to learn how to form them and how to say them. The general rule is that you finish a positive statement with a negative tag, and vice versa, using the main verb (if there is no auxiliary) or the first auxiliary verb (if there is an auxiliary).
For example:
It's a lovely day, isn't it?
You've been told about the meeting, haven't you?
ework, ... ...?
I'm not late, ... ...?
I'm invited to your party, ... ...?

Find the helping verb in the sentence.
If the helping verb is in negative form the question tag would be in positive form.
*He didn't eat,did he?
If the helping verb is in positive form the question tag would be in negative form.
*He did his homework,didn't he?
Never, seldom, rarely - tag in positive (does or do)
Now when no auxiliary verb is given the rules to follow are:
Verb in Sentence question tag
Present tense
(i,you,we,they) goes do
(he,she,it) goes does
(he,she) is is
(you) are are
(i ) am am or ain't i
Past tense

Let us shall
singular -present tense-does
