Well if you want to score good marks in chemistry, you should work out with practising the chemical reactions and balancing them properly, you should learn and understand all the chemical equations and learn how they take place and they how the product is formed.
Besides this you should also learn and understand the definitions that you have in your chemistry chapters, you can understand them by learning and observing the examples that we see in our daily life, and you should regularly practice with knowing to all the facts and information of particular topic....
