how to give effects in a beach scene

u can make with salt
it will create a good effect

u can do it by following steps - 
1- draw your scenery with pencil
2- take your colour with great amount of water
3- sprikle some salt on your water portion
4-leave it to be dry
5- then colour your sand portion and sprinkle salt again
6- leave it to be dry
7-then make some cloudy weather, it will create wonderful effect

u can give it by darker and lighter tone giving to the sand.
u can give sun shade in the water.
u can draw some light stars and moon.
