Hypnosis is just a relaxed state of consciousness. It's like a guided daydream, not mind control. So, with respect to the 'needs,' whatever they are, it depends on the person as to whether or not being hypnotized will cause them to something without their consent or something immoral or illegal.

Actually people who are sleeping are in the same brain wave state as those in hypnosis, so there is no need to hypnotize someone while they are asleep, just starting giving them suggestions. ... If someone is sleeping you cannot as a hypnotist narrow their focus with language to lead them into a trance state.
