Alternate segment theorem. The angle between the tangent and chord at the point of contact is equal to the angle in the alternate segment. This is the circle property that is the most difficult to spot. Look out for a triangle with one of its vertices (corners) resting on the point of contact of the tangent

it is very simple to identify alternate segments. if alternate segments are equal you will always see that a Z shape is forming and it's most common when the diagonals bisect each other.whenever in the question it is given that diagonals bisect each other so there will be Z forming and alternate segments will be equal.
