How to identify is a series is ap gp or hp?

It there is a common difference between the consecutive terms in series then it forms an AP.

E.G: 3, 5,7,9,11,13...........
Is a series of terms such that a1=3 a2=5 and so on..
And a2-a1 = a3-a2 = 2=common difference(d)
=>the above series forms an A.P
