Series combination: A combination in which two or more resistance are connected end to end in electric circuit such that the current passing through one resistor passed through all the other resistor is called series combination

Parallel combination: combination of resistance in which two or more resistance are connected between two common point in an electric circuit such that the potential difference across each of the resistor is same as the potential difference across the common point is called parallel combination
