really it's not very easy
Robin Slee is correct about the basics of matchstick drawings. I would only add that using physical matchsticks can benefit you greatly when you are doing a series of drawings and the person or character has to move. Keeping the same sticks will force you not to change the relative lengths of parts of the character.
BUT! ... But you must realise that this person must keep all of their body parts in the same plane to be even close to accurate. This means that a character cannot point at the viewer, cannot really ever gave sideways unless the shoulders stay completely overlapping. Front view kind of works but we rarely ever stand that way for long. This is why the Egyptian paintings of the figure are so weird, they hadn't figured out how to depict the body as a volume yet.
Incidentally Disney's early animations were done with coins for the same reason. You could move the coin around and trace it and it works to keep the volume consistent between frames.
Consider it a challenge! How do I make this look natural or at least interesting.
and rest you know well
