How to name an organic compound if both double and single bond are present in the compound?

At first, you have to find the longest chain of carbon atoms and then find the total carbon atoms and then name the compound accordingly.
For example, if 4, you will give the prefix 'but' and 'hex' for 6.(Considering there is no branched methyl group)
Then, find the position of the group after which the double bond is there.
Suppose the position is 'n',
Then you have to write after the prefix, n-ene.
For example,
CH₃--CH==CH--CH₃
Its name will be but-2-ene
