Answer:

Dissolve 175 g of sodium salicylate and 0.35 g sodium nitroprusside in about 800 mL of DI water. Filter through fast filter paper into a 1000 mL volumetric flask, dilute to volume with DI water and mix thoroughly. Store in a light resistant container. Make up fresh monthly
