Proving? Your friendship is not a theory. You do not have to convince or make an assumption to anyone, proving that you guys are best friends forever. If you are doing that, it means that you are not really a best friend, more of a desperate friend who wants to be a friend with the person.
That got really horrible but it is the truth. Friendship is not something that you have to work hard for, it is more of a possesion that you will get when you have a certain connection with someone.
However, when I mean by work hard, you do not have to try very hard to make a friendship everlasting. You do not have to feel the need to do something, it is more of a pleasure, something that you will enjoy having. Example, when you are going out with your best friend, you are going because you are really excited to meet your friend rather than being forced to go. Also, when your best friend really needs your help, the first thing that you will do is be with him/her no matter how busy you are. You will never let anything stop your friendship and you trust each other. :)
One last thing, if you know that you guys are best friends, you are. Do not let any doubts let you think otherwise. ;)

Listen to their problems, due to which they might think you care for them.. Always take their mistakes as yours...
