Let ABC be a triangle right angled at C .Measures of sides of AB ,BC ,CA are c ,a , b respectively. Let angle A = Ø .
Now , sinØ = opposite side to theta / hypotenuse = a / c .
Cosø = adjacent side to theta / hypotenuse = b/c .
Tanø = opposite side to theta / adjacent side to theta = a / b
Now taking
sinø / cosø
= ( a /c ) / ( b / c)
= a / b
= tanø.
hope helped! ^^
