How to prove that the magnetic lines are closed

You can answer this question through an experiment.Take a sheet filled with iron fillings and spread it on the paper.If you place a magnet below the sheet and tap the paper the filling arrange themselves along the curved lines. Hence you can see that the lines are running through the magnet and it is closed.
