Hey there!
Make sure that your base which is the NCERTs are strong enough firstly and foremostly.
I would reccomend to read the NCERTs starting right from class 9.
Put special emphasis on the NCERTs of class 11th and 12th.
Once you are thorough with the NCERTs, you may move to other books which are available in the market.
As far as my advice is concerned, I would strongly reccomend you to read the book of Indian Economy written by Jain and Ohri.
Also, choose your reading material very carefully.
Do not go on reading hundreds of books for one good book does everything.
