Air pollution from these types of factories are usually because of releasing air pollution through chimneys. This can be reduced by "flue-gas desulfurization. This can be done by installing scrubbers in chimneys by using CaCO3 and water which converts SO2 into CaSO4. This is called flue gas desulfurization, because of which harmful gases released are converted to less toxic ones
