1.)Bring reusable bags and containers when shopping, traveling, or packing lunches or leftovers.

2.)Choose products that are returnable, reusable, or refillable over single-use items.

3.)Avoid individually wrapped items, snack packs, and single-serve containers.

4.)You can reduce the amount of waste you create by choosing what rubbish you throw away. 

5.)Bake cookies or other goodies and package them in reusable and/or recyclable containers as gifts., etc.

Some simple technique which can help in reducing waste generation.

• When possible, write on the both sides of paper as it will help reduce consumption as well as waste.

• Do not dispose of paper wrappings, cartons and paper packet as they can be reused for various purposes

• Use only the required amount of coloured paper and plastic sheets for wrapping gift items for decoration.

• Avoid disposal articles such as paper napkins, plastics spoons and bowls .Use stellar glass items that can used repeatedly for a long time.

• Avoid the tendency to use polythene bags.instead, develop the habits of carrying jute and cloth bags for shopping.
