This is easy, but tricky.
Use Pythagoras theorem,
Take a point p at a distance of 1 unit from a origin in the x axis and q at distance of 1unit from origin in the y axis.
Join pq, the length of pq will be √2,a Pythagoras theorem.
Measure pq using a compass and taking origin as a centre,draw an arc cutting x axis at r.
Then distance from origin to r will be√2. Join qr by Pythagoras theorem.
qr=√3
Next take √3 distance in x axis and 2units in y axis... repeat the above process you will get √7.
Finally take √7 units in x axis and 4 units in y axis,repeat the above procedure you will get √23.
Now measure the distance(√23) using compass, taking origin(o) as a centre draw an arc cutting X axis at m.
