Using pythogaras thereom,
obtain the height and then join the base and the corresponding height which we found.
Take an arc from the top where these two lines intersect.
and make the arc fall on the number line.
Finally, highlight the square root.

mark the distance of the root number u have taken from a fixed point A on a number line to obtain a point B.
from B mark a distance of 1 unit and mark the new point as C. find the mid point of AC and mark that as O.
draw a semi circle with center O and radius OC.
draw a line perpendicular to AC passing through B and intersecting the semi circle at D.
Then u can get the point of the root number u have taken
