Fundamentals of the subjects are to be made clear. One mark questions, often check such fundamental knowledge about underlying principles. If necessary reverse engineering i.e. starting reading from previous years syllabus may be resorted too. Solving previous years question papers in artificially created examination like environment at home, helps in time management. Writing more and more helps in increasing speed of writing. In mock examinations at home target should be set to solve say 20% more questions than expected in the actual examination. One will have to learn to skip the question which requires more time in solving the same, for time being to proceed ahead and come back to such questions later after solving others.
