As we know that turmeric is a non-volatile solute. Hence, when added to water it will not evaporate easily.

Whereas water is a volatile solute. Therefore, when we add turmeric into water then this mixture can easily be separated out by heating the solution.

As a result, when this solution (water + turmeric) is made to boil then water will evaporate easily leaving behind turmeric powder.

This process of separation is known as evaporation.
