hi friend

here's your answer looking for

1/2-1/3=(3-2)/6=1/6

to solve it please follow the following steps:--

1). take the LCM of denominator that is of 2 and 3 . so LCM of 2 and 3 is 6.

2). then divide the denominator by the LCM and get multiplied 8 by the numerator.
so 6 divided by 2 is 3 and multiplied by 1 is also 3 so put it 3 first and then do same thing with other.

3). subtract 3 minus 2. that is one put as nominator.

4). and put the LCM as the denominator.

I have also attached the image to eat so that you can easily get it

Answer:

=>\frac{1}{6}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given expression:

\frac{1}{2}-\frac{1}{3}

We have to solve and find the value of the above expression,

Now, we have to find the lowest common denominator first:

Therefore,

=>\frac{1\times 3}{2\times 3}+\frac{-1\times 2}{3\times 2}

Simplifying it further we get,

=>\frac{3}{6}+\frac{-2}{6}

Combining both the fractions, we get

=>\frac{3+(-2)}{6}

Add the terms in the brackets, we get

=>\frac{1}{6}

Hence, the value of the expression is \frac{1}{6}.
