Hi Here I Am Taking On e Example That Is 40 and 20
we need to divide 40 by 24
we get 16 by substarcting it by 40 we get 1
and we should divide 24 by 16
24/16 there is no 16 in 24's table so we put 16 in this place
by subracting it we get 24-16 we get 8
then we need to divide 16 by 8
we know that 16 is in the table of 8 and ans comes 2
when we simplify it 
40=24*1+16
24=16*1+8
16=8*2+0
HCF IS 16
