Addition 1 :

If Denominator is same

 \frac{2}{5}  +  \frac{3}{5} \\cross \: multiply \: take \: lcm \\   \\   = \frac{10 + 15}{5 }   \\ \\   = \frac{25}{5}   \\  \\  =  5

Addition 2 :

If Denominator is different

 \frac{2}{5}  +  \frac{3}{2}   \\ cross \: multiply \: take \: lcm \\  \\   = \frac{4 + 15}{10}  \\  \\ =   \frac{19}{10}

Subtraction :

  \frac{2}{5}  -  \frac{3}{5}  \\cross \: multiply \: take \: lcm \\   \\   = \frac{10 - 15}{5}  \\  \\  =  \frac{ - 5}{5}   \\  \\  =  - 1

Multiplication :

 \frac{2}{5}  \times  \frac{3}{5}  \\  \\   = \frac{6}{25}

Division :

 \frac{10}{5}  \\  \\  = 2
