AS ACCORDING TO THE SITUATION THE MOVEMENT OF PARTICLE IS FROM ORIGIN(0,0) AND FIRST IT GOES TO (20m,0) AND THEN TO( -20m,0)
THEREFORE THE DISTANCE COVERED = 20m [ORIGIN(0,0) TO POINT (20m,0)] + 20m[POINT (20m,0) TO ORIGIN(0,0)] + 20m [ORIGIN(0,0) TO THE POINT (-20,0)
= 60 m
AND DISPLACEMENT = +20 -20 -20 (AS IT RETRACES THE PATH AND IN NEGATIVE DIRECTION SO DISPLACEMENT IS NEGATIVE)
= -20 TOWARDS THE NEGATIVE X DIRECTION
