The first circle follows the rule 2x + 2

So, take a number 2

The number opposite to 2 is 6, So the rule is followed

If x is 2 then the answer of the rule becomes 6

The same thing follows with 8

When we substitute x with 8

the answer becomes 18

The second circle follows the rule 2x + 3

So, take a number 3

The number opposite to 3 is 9, So the rule is followed

If x is 3 then the answer of the rule becomes 9

The same thing follows with 8

When we substitute x with 8

the answer becomes 19
