•From (i)

•3p=5+2q

•p=5+2q/3......(iii)

•Substitute (iii) in (ii)

•4(5+2q/3)+3q=1.

•4(5+2q)/3+3q=1

•20+8q+9q=3

•20+17q=3.

•17q=3-20

•17q=-17.

•q=-1 .

•Now substitute value of q in (iii)

•p=5+2(-1)/3

•p=5-2/3

•p=3/3

•p=1.
