 {4}^{2n}  \times 4 {}^{n}  =  {2}^{12}  \\    {2}^{2 \times 2n}  \times  {2}^{2n}  =  {2}^{12}  \\  {2}^{4n + 2n}  =  {2}^{12}  \\  6n = 12 \\ n =  \frac{12}{6}  = 2
