It's correct question
since triangle ACP and ACD are on the same base and between same parallel AC and DP
ar(ACP)=ar(ACD)
Adding ar(ABC) on both sides,
ar(ACP)+ar(ABC)=ar(ACD)+ar(ABC)
ar(ABP)=ar(quadrilateral ABCD).
