Answer:
The population will stop growing when either one of the following happens.
- When we stop figuring out how to increase sustenance. The average number of babies we create relentlessly attempts to increase our numbers and nature stops that attempt by killing children. When we do not increase sustenance production nature must kill at the rate of (x-2)/x where x is the number of babies we average. When we manage to increase sustenance, then children die at a lower rate. However, notice that we have never managed to increase sustenance availability at the rate necessary to keep all the babies we create alive. The millions of children that die every year of starvation related causes is exactly the consequence of averaging too many babies. I hope you can see that this is a horrible way to stop the population from growing.
- We get our population scientists to comprehend what I wrote in #1 above and they in turn teach the world that averaging too many babies is killing. With that knowledge, I hope that we will properly limit the number of babies each can have so that we stop attempting to grow our numbers.
I am looking for people that can comprehend the concepts that I keep repeating in all of these population related questions. I need help to figure out how to change our population scientists beliefs (Yes, we need to get them off of beliefs and onto facts).
