Here is your answer,
Well to be frank I don't know Hermione used to study but I can tell you how actual real life people study,
1) Well the basic and most important way to learn something is to study that subject or topic everyday bcs that's the most important thing to study everyday.
2) Subject like maths must be done everyday as its a subject in which practice is needed and it's not like that a person could score good marks in maths just by studying it just before your exam, so maths should be practiced everyday. Well in maths the important thing is to be heart all the formulae and you should be able to recognize that where to apply which formula bcs sometimes people say that they know all the formulae but didn't know how and where to apply it, so for that again solve as many questions as you can and practice it everyday.
3) Subject like science is theory type subject in which you have to read the chapters thoroughly and the most important thing is that your concepts should be cleared bcs if your basic concepts are cleared then you can answer any question related to that topic. So for science just make your base strong and I'm chemistry YIU have to mug up all the equations n all.
4) For subjects like history and civics and geography aka SST well to be frank I just hated this subject like anything and I really didn't like it at all but as its a compulsory subject so I had to do it, well coming back you should of course again just mug up history until and unless you enjoy history and you could learn it by understanding it by learning it as a story and you have great interest in it but if you don't like this subject then you are left with no other option but just to mug up all the dates n all.
5) Well for English I would like to tell you that English is the best of all other subjects and the most important thing in english is just read all the chapters thoroughly and as many times as you can, read it everyday and solve grammar questions as well, for grammar you may use Wren and Martin it's a great book.
NOTE : IF YOU ARE STRUGGLING TO LEARN ANY PARTICULAR TOPIC OR ANYTHING, THE BEST WAY TO LEARN IS, LEARN IT JUST BEFORE SLEEPING AND REVISE IT AGAIN AFTER GETTING UP IN THE MORNING, repeat it for few days and then see the result. It really helps.
Well again I would like to tell is just study regularly and don't take any sort of tension just be confident and you'll surely achieve success.
