plasmolysis is the shrinking of cytoplasm away from the cell wall due to otward flow of water when cell is placed in strong hypertonic solution
deplasmolysis is the stretching of cell wall because of large vacoule in cytoplasm due to inward movement of water when cell placed in weak hypotonic solution
