The word 'grade' means level. Multigrade, therefore, means many grades.  Multigrade teaching is a situation in which one teacherhas to teach many grades, all at the same time. It happens in all schools where there are more grades than teachers.Understanding and supporting multi-level instruction is a great way of accomplishing this. Multi-level instruction is the process of teaching one primary objective or concept to the class while allowing for varying outcomes for an individual student or a small group of students.
