HEYA MATE....

for a hypermetropic eye

u=-25cm and v=-50cm

u=-25cm and v=-50cm

substituting in the lens formula we get focal length is...

f=50cm =0.5m

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU......

sanjayvishnoidon36: Image is positive in convex lens
sanjayvishnoidon36: And uv taken -ve....why
shikayna2345: image distance is +ve for real image and negative for virtual image
sanjayvishnoidon36: Ha lekin... Hypermetropic me convex hota h...use.....usme khali 1 case me v= -ve hota h ...baki sb v = +ve
shikayna2345: yah but object is on front of lens so u is -ve
shikayna2345: and lens ka kam yeh hoga ki wo person object ko bhi clearly dekh paye
shikayna2345: so lens image ko 50 cm par form karega at left side only
shikayna2345: thus it is taken as negative
shikayna2345: through which the person can see clearly
shikayna2345: draw the lens diagram u can find...
