You can not teach some adult to speak,read, write English till the time he/she has a complete will to do so.

The adults should understand the things well. You just arrange related matters and try to start from where the need may be. small dose of practice with respect . try to get more of speaking practice so that they learn fast and in an effective way. Try to adjust time according to their covenience. Bit by bit we can gain a lot. A small beginning and there are miles and miles covered.
