\underline{\underline{\Huge\red\mathfrak{Diamagnetic Compounds}}}

Diamagnetic compounds are those compounds which on being placed in a magnetic field get feebly magnetised in direction opposite to that of the magnetising field. Such compounds get repelled when brought near a strong magnet.
For Example:- Bismuth (BI).

\underline{\underline{\Huge\red\mathfrak{Paramagnetic Compounds}}}

Paramagnetic Compounds are those compounds which on being placed in magnetic field get feebly magnetised in the direction of these magnetic field. Such compounds, get attracted towards the magnet, when brought near a strong magnet.
For Example:- Sodium (Na).
