How to tell if a pedigree is autosomal or sexlinked?

If the pedigree is affected by both saxes such as man and female then it can considered as astosomal pedigree. But sex linked pedigree is affected by a single sex.

For example, X-linked recessive trait usually affects man because only man has the X chromosome.

Similarly, an unaffected couple can give birth of an affected child, but an affected couple cannot give birth to an unaffected child.

Autosomal-trait that is located on an autosome(non-sex chromosomes).

Sex linked-trait that is located on one of the two sex chromosomes.
