Preface on Hazards of Pollution
Everyone is worried about pollution nowadays. There are many voluntary organizations publicizing the hazards of pollution. Many industrialists and the government too are aware of the terrible future because of pollution of air, water or other natural resources. Media of all types make a lot of hue and cry regarding pollution of any type. There is no need to emphasize that human race is at risk.
The judiciary and the government are trying to implement what they can at this time. Perhaps the actions need to be stepped up and changes need to come in all processes which are resulting in pollution.
In this book (article) we have done an exclusive study of the various types of pollution and the consequential harmful health hazards. The statistics on each category have been presented to support the arguments in favor of prevention of pollution.
Children and youth should be aware of the causes of pollution. The various factors that have increased the pollution are to be comprehended. Then possible solutions to mitigate pollution are to be explored and implemented as soon as possible. In the end, we have also given a list of articles, books and papers that have been referenced in writing this book.
I thank Dr. Hemant Goodman for his valuable opinions on the topic. I acknowledge Dr. Pooja Kavuri for preparing this manuscript and help in printing. I thank my assistants Sania, Prajwal, Shipra for doing a lot of research and coming up with good data. They made the purpose of this book a grand success. I am also happy to inform that this books will be used in International symposium organized by World Environment Committee. Further also that it will be used as a reference book in the University of New Delhi.
