We can write chemical formulae by interchanging the valencies of the elements or radicals.
Ignoring the negative or positive sign and if both of the elements/radicals have same valencies then we do not mention.
Also if the valency is 1
For example
H2+ O2 = H2O
valency of oxygen is 2
and valency of hydrogen is 1
we can also balance the equations by ensuring the number of molecules in both sides are equal
here we can balance like:
2(H2)+ O2= 2(H20)
