First of all, to write a diary entry, you must know the for mat for it. Which is,
Date, Day and Time on the Top Left Corner
And time on the top right corner.
No salutation is to be given to the diary. (People used to write 'Dear Diary' before begnning but is not written now-a-days)
Diary is most commonly written in Past tense because you're gonna write the things which already have happened.
Begin the diary with general sentence or how you felt about the day.
You have to insert the event in the mid of the entry.
And, finally, conclude with some exclamatory sentence.
