Dear diary,

I find history subject very interesting and my favorite king is Akbar. We have studied about the Akbar’s court, which includes the intelligent people from various religions. The administration at that time was well maintained and the people were very happy with the system. I wish I would be able to go back to the history to enjoy all the systems there. Now, it’s time to sleep. Good night diary.

20th April 1580, Agra

It was a beautiful day today. It was sunny and bright with a gentle breeze blowing over Agra. I went to the court of Akbar as usual and sat along with the courtiers.

Birbal, the kings favorite was a little late today. My fellow courtiers wanted to create trouble for Birbal as usual. So one of them asked the emperor a very weird question.

As was his habit, his majesty king Akbar wanted Birbal to help with the answer. It was then that he realised that Birbal was not present. His anger was mounting when Birbal entered the court.

The courtiers were very excited that it was going to be a bad day for Birbal and he would have to face the emperor's displeasure.

Even before Birbal could sit down, the Emperor raised his eyebrows at him and asked him to tell how many crows were there in Agra.

Everyone was surprised when Birbal said very confidently that there were 10,150 of them in Agra.

The king asked him how he could be so sure. Birbal said that his majesty could have them counted, and if the number was less, some of them might have gone to the neighbouring kingdoms to visit their relatives. If the number was more some crows might be visiting from other kingdoms.

King Akbar laughed and the whole court was laughing.

Thus it was another entertaining day at court with Akbar and Birbal.
