A man sold half of his land . He gave half of the remaining portion to his son and one third of the balance to his daughter . What fraction of his land is left with him ?​

∴remaining land =1/2

land given to son =1/2*1/2

                              =1/4

land given to daughter =1/3*1/2=1/6

land left with the man =1/2-(1/4+1/6)

 =1/2-(10/12)

 =12/12-10/12

  =2/12

∴ he has 1/6 of the total land left with him
