bro it depends on the number of unpaired electrons.for that u need to use the orbital sub levels which are required to hold all the electrons
for that first u need to know the atomic number of the element
determine the charge on the atom
and also you need to know some important elements which are frequently asked in exam
u need to have an idea about the electronic configuartion notation
memorize the order of orbitals for example
1s, 2s, 2p, 3s, 3p, 4s, 3d, 4p, 5s, 4d, ............................
and fill the orbitals according to the unpaired electrons

domy: THANK u friend
hariiyengar39: u r welcome buddy
domy: well i m not buddy or bro im a girl
hariiyengar39: its fine i call my friends buddy
hariiyengar39: hope even u r my friend
domy: okk well im ur friend??

It is based on Atomic no. of the element

Capacity of the shell
K=2
L=8
M=16
N=32

Example-

1) Hydrogen

Atomic mass no. = 1

K
1

2) Carbon

Atomic mass no. = 6

K L
2 4

3) Potassium

Atomic mass no. = 20

K L M N
2 8  8  2

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU

PLS MARK AS THE BEST
