Birthmarks are marks or blemishes that are visible at birth or develops soon after that.They come in different shapes, sizes, or colors and can be present anywhere on skin. There're two types of them- vascular and pigmented.
Many babies are born with a vascular birthmark, a red,purple or pink blemish caused by abnormal blood vessels under the skin.Some pigmented birthmarks run through families while they can also be caused by clusters of pigmented cells.Vascular marks are not inherited.
