Hey dear ....here is ur answer..
Step-by-step:
(1) Identify the functional group
(2)Find the longest carbon chain containing the functional group
(3)Number the carbon in the longest chain
(4)Look for any branched groups,name them and assign the number of the carbon atom to which the group is attached...

step 1
count the number of carbon atoms in the given compound and write the root word for it .
step 2
if the compound is saturated add suffix ane to the root word but if it is unsaturated add suffix ene and yne for double bond and triple Bond respectively .
state 3
if the functional group is present in the compound it is indicated in the name of the compound with whether a suffix or prefix .
