Answer:

Explanation:

The students in schools of Haryana will be encouraged to write to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to share their contribution and future commitments towards PM’s pet project- Swachh Bharat.

Besides, to spread the message of cleanliness on a massive scale, the students will also write letters to sarpanch, members of school management committees for maintenance of schools in the state.

This among other activities would be undertaken by schools from September 1 to 15 under ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’ in the state.

During the fortnight programme, Education Minister, Department Secretaries, District Education officers and other senior officers will address the students in schools about the importance of cleanliness.

The schools have been directed to remove all kinds of waste material like broken furniture, unusable equipment, defunct vehicles etc from their premises during the Pakhwada. They have also been directed to organize plantation drives and weed out old files from records as per the procedure.

As per the orders issued by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) for organizing ‘Swachhta Pakhwada’, the students will be encouraged to write postcards to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi describing their contribution towards cleanliness and making commitments for future contributions.

The children will also be asked to write to their parents regarding what they have learnt about cleanliness and what they want their parents to do in ensuring a Swachh Bharat. Some of these letters would be documented and sent to the MHRD.

Activities including exhibition, debate, poetry competition, essay writing, sloganeering,  painting and quiz on cleanliness will also be organised. Apart from this, various activities have been planned wherein students will be made aware about maintaining hygiene, reducing wastage of water, proper handwash, re-use of waste material, community participation, safe drinking water, organic and inorganic waste and implementation of water harvesting structures.

All schools have been asked to send photographs and videos of various activities to be undertaken during the fortnight to the School Education Department, Haryana by email.
