how to write speech on will to win
Answers
A winning speech wins over the hearts and minds of the audience. Sometimes, it wins the highest scores from judges at a public speaking contest. To reach your audience, first find out about their background, their expectations and concerns. However, do not write to impress a particular audience or judges at a contest. Write from the heart, with passion and sincerity, and you will win over your audience.
Get the speech details, such as the audience size, composition, venue details and allotted time. Use the information to tailor your speech. For example, a speech to senior citizens is different from a speech to high school students.
Prepare the speech outline. Write the purpose or core message, such as "To inform the audience of the benefits of regular exercise" or "To motivate my employees to meet sales targets next year." Write three or four ideas or arguments in support of your core message. Jot down what you want your audience to remember.
Write the introduction, which should be about 10 to 15 percent of the speech in length. You can start with an outline of your speech, a personal anecdote or with a question that sets out the theme of the speech. For example, a speech at a charity fundraiser could start with something like "Did you know the number one reason for (ailment)? It is (cause). I am here today to tell you what we have been doing to find a cure and to ask for your support."
Complete the body by expanding the arguments in your outline. Add examples, personal anecdotes and quotations. Use simple and direct construction. For example, use "We should ..." instead of "It is my reasoned judgment that we should ..." Do not use big words that you might have trouble pronouncing and the audience might have difficulty understanding.
Good morning Respected teachers, judges and my dear friends , I am here to present my views on the topic "Will to Win".
This title brings to my mind the story of the hare and the tortoise. When the hare challenged the tortoise to a race , the tortoise knew very well that it's speed of travel was in no way comparable to that of the hare. Yet this animal agreed to race. And why , may I ask you ? Only because it had the "will to win". Come what may , the tortoise had to prove to the hare that it could win if it wanted to. And yes ! Finally the tortoise won.
This , in fact , is the driving force behind all great ventures and achievements , The Will to Win..! I remember the time when I was in Std. 5th , My father had been transferred from Agra to Bhusaval . A subject that I had trouble mastering was the language Marathi. Needless to say in the first term , I flunked very badly. But I was a student who scored high marks in all the subjects. This failure was though devastating one.
However , I did not let it faze me. I took great interest in class lessons. Read my Marathi textbooks over and over. I made my friends who spoke Marathi fluently and ventured speaking with them. At first , they poked me , made fun of me. But within a month , i had picked up the basic structure of the language and began writing answers to questions on my own. Believe it or not , At the end of the term , I topped the class in Marathi. Today , I can speak in the language as if it's my native language !!
Friends , My message to you today is that you can do anything . All you require is the will. If you have the will , the skill will follow. I wish you all the very best in whatever you decide.
Be sure that if you have the will , you will win!!
Thank you.
