UV rays are the harmful rays of sun that falls on earths surface;

Generally short waves of UV that is UV B falls on earth.

This rays penetrates deep inside the derma/skin and destroys the cell of skin by inducing mutation in DNA this mutation in DNA leads in formation of thiamine dimers .

This diamers of thiamine leads in formation of tumors cells and leads in formation of skin cancer.

Too much UV radiation from the sun or sunbeds can damage the genetic material the DNA in your skin cells. If enough DNA damage builds up over time, it can cause cells to start growing out of control, which can lead to skin cancer
