Vacuole provides turgidity and rigidity to plant cells. Vacuole is the largest organelle of plant cells so when water enters into a cell it extends in size and shape and becomes rigid ultimately the whole plant becomes turgid and rigid. Vacuole also contains food and wastes into it.
