  • 90% of the population was made up by the third estate.

  • The third estates have to pay different taxes like Tithes(A tax levied by the church comprising one-tenth of the agricultural production) and Taille(A tax to be paid directly to the state).

  • The first two estates enjoyed certain privileges by birth, they don't pay any tax.
